Rogers Family collection.

This is one of my favorite sessions of this year because so many things came together beautifully and I am so happy with the results and excited to share it with you. So it all began with a text from a good friend of mine who happened to be driving home and saw a beautiful sunflower field and thought of me. Hey, I m ok with being the fist thing you think about after you see a field of pretty flowers :)

I was at church on Sunday and walked by my friend Mat, and somehow the sunflowers came up in conversation so I wanted to see if Katie (his wife) wanted to do some maternity photos there.  He said she wasn't due till December, and I was like " thats next year!"  to which he calmly replied "um no, thats  a few months away". (moral of the story... dont tell me when you are due, I will convince you the day will never come.)...SO I walked away excited to shoot Katie in the fall with pumpkins.

Monday rolled around and I got a text from Mat wanting to see if I would want to shoot them that week...Umm Gorgeous family and beautiful location.."yes please!!"

I was optimistic about shooting Tuesday only to be informed that there was a 70 percent chance thunderstorms, so we moved the shoot up 3 hours just to be safe. The rogers drove over 1 and 1/2 hours to follow me around Monroe, NC to a place I had NEVER been or seen on top of Armageddon looming , because the whether channel got it right for once. It was windy and grey and pretty scary! We finally found the G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S field and Katie used her people skills to ask the owner if we could shoot on their farm and they were more than happy to oblige.

So there is the back story, and to see these photos you would think we were just strolling through the field, like it was luck. No we worked hard for these photos. These make me smile knowing the end of the world does not phase the Rogers, in fact, they make it look good :)
